This programme for practicing celebrants involves:

These programmes enable practicing and trained celebrants to extend and deepen their work, explore new directions, and develop and strengthen peer support.



POSTGRADUATE PAPER

SEASONAL CEREMONIES AND CELEBRATIONS
This paper is designed to provide experienced celebrants with an understanding of contemporary seasonal ceremonies possible in New Zealand today. It will enable them to create, design and implement these ceremonies within their families and communities.

Course content
Seasonal cycles of life. Universality of seasonal ceremonies. Seasonal ceremonies in NZ. History of these ceremonies including;Maori,Celtic,Christian and Pacific Island traditions. The practical process of the design, creation and implementation of seasonal ceremonies.

MASTER CLASSES

Each year an exciting new master class is offered around New Zealand for practicing and trained celebrants.
These weekend courses include:

  • Reflecting on your work and experiences.
  • Celebrant self care and nurture.
  • Exploring new directions, new ceremonies and resources.
  • Sharing ceremony examples with peer supervision.
  • Ethical questions.
  • The mantle of the celebrant.
  • Professional excellence and business practice.

WORKSHOPS

One-day workshops are offered for practicing celebrants.

Contemporary Kiwi Altars:
Creating Secular Sacred Spaces in Daily Life.
Transitions and turning points can be marked with personal altars and sacred spaces.This can affirm and deepen the impact of milestones and changes as they occur in our lives. This workshop is especially designed for celebrants.
Come and enjoy the delights and challenges of learning to design and create secular altars for yourself and for ceremony and celebration within the community.
