Katrina Aro’s marriage celebrant journey started with curiosity about the profession and what it entailed. After completing her first course with The Celebrant School, she discovered a love of crafting ceremonies that represent a couple’s story, challenges, successes and dreams.

With a 20+ year career in event management, marketing and HR, Katrina’s celebrant practice utilises a lot of cross-over skills such as planning, clear communication and listening (both for the said and unsaid). With a strong desire to serve her couples to the absolute best of her ability, undertaking training at The Celebrant School was a no-brainer!

In completing the Certificate of Celebrant Studies, Katrina has grown her confidence and skills in guiding couples to articulate what is important to them and delivering a ceremony which exceeds expectations. In Katrina’s opinion, training should be an essential requirement for all celebrants as it arms you with knowledge, support and tools critical for representing the profession at the highest level.

Based in Rotorua, Katrina works with couples from diverse backgrounds and it is a true joy to be able to connect with and serve people from all walks of life.
