Funeral Celebrant Course
starting Wednesday 20th September - an online combination of evening and weekend sessions$699.00 incl. GST
This course is designed for those who wish to become funeral celebrants and be competent to design and lead ceremonies for funerals and memorials. It also provides an opportunity for continuing education for experienced funeral celebrants to explore new dimensions in their work, and other practising celebrants who decide they are ready to move into this area. This course will be delivered entirely by Zoom, which has the benefit of increasing the capacity of students to incorporate such technologies in their ceremonial kete.

To allow students adequate precourse preparation time and smooth administration, we prefer enrolments to be confirmed at least one week prior to course commencement. After this date a 10% surcharge will be incurred, so please do enrol early!

Marriage Celebrant Essentials
starting 20 July 2023 (currently full but you can enrol for the next one and ask to go on waitlist for an earlier place)This very popular, on-line, short course provides all the essentials for starting out on the right foot as a marriage celebrant. MCE ensures a thorough knowledge of the legalities imposed by the Marriage Act and recent changes affecting celebrants. You will be well set up for applying or renewing your appointment with BDM, and dealing with the tricky legal questions that invariably arise in a public role. You will learn about designing ceremonies at the simpler end of the spectrum.
This course will flow on to Marriage Celebrant Mastery for those interested in offering bespoke personalised marriage ceremonies. An alternative is to do the Ceremony and Celebration course next, which provides a thorough foundation for working as a celebrant and opens possibilities for offering a wider range of ceremonies.
To enable smooth processing of enrolments and adequate time for pre-course student preparation, we prefer enrolments at least one week before course commencement. Enrolments after this date incur a 10% surcharge.
Those interested in crafting fully-personalised marriage ceremonies will be invited to continue into our more advanced module Marriage Celebrant Mastery later in the year.

For those wanting to maximise their exposure to all things ceremonial, this course can be taken along with the Ceremony and Celebration course (which is over two June weekends). Although it will be a intensive deep-dive, if you have time availability, this would really get you off to a racing start with your celebrancy.
